Whereas the Deluxe Edition includes the cartridge with gold back label, a case, printed manual, an FXPAK Pro sticker, Stone Age Gamer sticker, and is covered by a 2-year Warranty.

Features

  • microSD supported (tested up to 64GB; no exFAT support so SDXC cards must be reformatted using FAT32).
  • Fast ROM loading (~9MB/s).
  • Fast menu navigation.
  • Directories are sorted automatically, no need for FAT sorting tools.
  • High resolution menu (512×224) for adequate display of long file names.
  • Real Time Clock.
  • Supports ROM size up to 128MBit (96Mbit actually implemented).
  • Automatic near-time SRAM saving to SD Card (while the game runs). Some limitations apply:
    • near-time saving is switched to periodic saving when a game is found to use the SRAM as work RAM.
    • Automatic saving is disabled when MSU1 is used. SRAM is saved on reset.
    • Enhancement chip support (see below for implementation status).
  • SuperCIC key (SNES CIC clone):
    • enables operation on unmodified consoles of all regions.
    • supports software 50/60Hz switching on SuperCIC enhanced consoles only (to be performed by FXPAK firmware, not yet implemented there).
    • Auto region patching: eliminates “This Game Pak is not designed…” messages regardless of 50/60Hz setting.

The one cart to rule them all!!

Posted by MJ on Nov 2nd 2023

I`ve wanted to get a flash cart for a long time. Finally got around to purchasing a FXPAKPRO and it`s 100% recommended. Setup is easy enough with the Firmware provided on the site. Copy your back-ups and you`re good to go. Now my hunt for crazy expensive SNES carts is over. No more compromises. Going to go this route for other systems as well. There`s no going back. Well worth the purchase.

    Great

Posted by Andrew S on Mar 29th 2022

It was a bit of a pain to get all of the bios files for all of the different chips set up (SAG should update their instructions on that, I had to go to youtube) but once that was done, it was smooth sailing. This thing is a workhorse, and it does it well.

    Superb Cartridge!

Posted by James Nezat on Nov 24th 2021

Easy to setup and use! Great compatibility! What more can you ask for? This is easily one of the best purchases you can make if you own a Super Nintendo or Super Famicom.

    Excellent flash cart for SNES/SFC

Posted by Sam Dionne on Jul 19th 2021

I have been using the FX Pak Pro for 1 year and it has continued to perform excellently with original SNES/SFC game roms (including special-chip games using Super-FX, SA-1, etc), and almost every patched translation / hack I have tried so far without issues. Playing MSU-1 hacks and hearing CD-quality music from an actual SNES is very interesting, and if you purchase I would recommend trying this at least once! The only compatibility issues I have noted are related to either rom files with bad headers won't boot, or roms/hacks that are incompatible with original hardware may crash. Also using a 3rd party SNES to SFC adapters can interfere with special-chip games (but this is not the fault of the cartridge). Overall, it is fairly expensive, but it is an excellent way to experience the full SNES/SFC library on original hardware.

USB port defective and liable to break

Posted by John on Jun 29th 2021

I enjoyed using my SD2SNES Pro for a while now but unfortunately, the micro-USB port on the top recently snapped off the board and fell off into the case itself. I haven't even plugged or unplugged the USB cable more than a dozen times, just the mechanical stress of having the USB cable connected from the top was enough to break it. I had to open the unit up to retrieve the now loose port so the metal body of the loose port wouldn't short out any connections on the board and when I did I was rather disappointed to see that there had never really been much there in the first place to keep it attached to the board. The pitch of the connector is pretty fine, and it ripped a solder pad off with it, so unfortunately I don't think a repair is very feasible either. The slot cut in the case for the USB port also doesn't seem like it was aligned properly between the front and back halves? It's hard to say if that contributed to it breaking though.

    Absolutely wonderful

Posted by Dan Bednarski on May 21st 2021

The FXPAK PRO is amazing. My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner. Easy to use, and the USB connection is a sleeper wonderful addition for those who want . The MSU-1 support is great, being able to play these classics with CD quality sound on an actual SNES is something that is still hard to believe is real. 100% recommended to anyone considering a flash cart for SNES/SFC.

    Super dope

My favorite thing about this is how MSU-1 support breathes new life into my SNES console!

    Just get it

Posted by Josh on Apr 13th 2021

This thing is fantastic for playing those fan-translated games that were only released in Japan. I played through Tales of Phantasia with it, which the US didn't get. I'm looking forward to many more.
