PSIO is a development cartridge that plugs into your PlayStation’s Parallel I/O Port. It allows you to instantly see your software running from an SD Card on real hardware, making it the ultimate developers tool, as well as making it invaluable for debugging.

About In-Game Reset Kit:

In-Game-Reset mod kit for Sony PlayStation allows you to reset the console from the comfort of your own seat using the controller.

It has the most benefit when used with the PSIO as it allows reset via a controller combination to get back to the game select menu without rebooting the console completely.  

The button combination for the controllers is:

L2 + R2 + SELECT + START, for a short reset pulse ( Restart to Game - if PSIO isn't plugged in, or completely reboots the console if it is)
L2 + R2 + SELECT + CROSS, for a long reset pulse (Reset straight to the PSIO Menu)


The lightgun combination is:


A + B + TRIGGER, for a long reset pulse (Reset straight to the PSIO Menu)

    Great for PS1 fans

    It took a little bit of time to get it up and running because they forgot to include the directions for me. Once I did, it worked like a charm. To have the option to play and try out any game you want for the PS1 is an awesome option to have considering how large the library is and how much some of the rare games can cost. It’s a great product and money well spent for fans of the PS1.

    PSIO Pre-modded PlayStation in Good Condition

    The PlayStation I received is in beautiful shape and looks like it just came out of the box. The condition is better than good, it's excellent — and I'm picky about these things.

    The PSIO upgrade works exactly as described. I used a 256GB micro SD with SD adapter. That card isn't big enough for every PS1 game but it holds 289 games with room to space, which is every game I'm interested in playing.

    I can't overstate how nice it is to just fire up the PlayStation and pick a game from the menu to play. I already modded my Dreamcast with GDEMU to do the same thing. This PSIO mod is even better because it keeps the original disc drive so original game discs can still be played on the same machine modded with the PSIO.

    Good product, great service!

    I ordered this awhile back and had a few issues with it at first, but SAG fixed me right up! I shipped the console back, they fixed the issue (a trace wasn't properly cut for the PSIO install) and they got it back to me in less than a weeks time! It's been working perfect ever sense.

    The condition of the console was almost like new, very clean, cds work and all the ports are great!

    Great deal on pre-modded ps1

    Received pre-modded playstation 1 in good condition, was sent/received quickly, and packaged well. Console works as expected. I had bought the universal cable sold on stoneagegamer but this cable is not powerful enough to work with PSIO reset functionality, so just be aware of that. Luckily i was able to use my original ac adapter from my PS2 with this pre-modded console and it's been working great. For the price, it's hard to beat.

    The Playstation console arrived in perfect condition, I have been playing my games on a daily basis.
    The PSIO system requires a bit of reading to set up but nothing difficult.
    I am very happy with my purchase.

    System was in great condition, basically brand new...as far as the PSIO I kind of knew what i was getting into, it has its ups and downs. It's a great device but getting your ISO's set up can be a chore. Overall a solid price for a pre-modded console in this condition.
