    GCHD Mk. II

Certainly pricey but great to avoid the unobtainable GC component cable when you can use cheap Wii cables instead. Also great to be able to use HDMI on modern TVs if needed. I think the Wii port puts this over the other GCVideo solutions, so you're not just stuck with HDMI only.

    Works Great But Overpriced

Posted by Travis on Jul 16th 2021

Does it give you a clearer experience over AV cables yes but does it give you $150 more clarity, I don't think so. I honestly didn't like leaving a box sticking out of the back of the GameCube. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it was shaped like a L. Other than that if you are dead set on pulling out your GameCube hardware but don't have a CRT anymore this is something you should consider getting. But if you have a reasonably decent PC, dolphin emulator at 4k will be a better experience.

I am honestly impressed with how effective this thing is. Definitely worth considering if you want a crisp gamecube experience on an hd tv. Highly recommend.

A Needed Upgrade for Gamecube Gaming

Posted by Hector Emmanuel Silva Benitez on Apr 26th 2021

I have been meaning to buy this adapter for quite a while now but was hesitant due to its expensive price. Luckily, Stone Age Gamer offers a payment plan option at checkout which pushed me to buy it. Overall, I am very impressed. Gamecube games never looked better on my HD TV (Samsung). It supports progressive scan which makes the games look even better. I paired this with the MCable and I am shocked at how much you can push the Gamecube's visual quality. Installation is easy, just plug and play. I would not recommend this for everyone, as it is a hefty price, however, for those really trying to get the best quality out of their retro experience its worth buying to see for yourself.

    MK-II Greatness

Posted by Frank on Apr 9th 2021

I live in Sydney Australia and i was surprised how fast this product came to me. When it arrived and i opened up the delivery packaging i was fascinated with the gamecube style box which i am definitely not throwing away. I hooked up my gamecube on my LG CX65, and i used the Mk-II and i was very overwhelmed with the product. It is actually the best way you can play your old gamecube. Thanks StoneAgeGamer

Incredibly overpriced tool, really not needed to improve the view experience

Posted by Antonio Oliva on Aug 9th 2020

I got my GameCube connected from my 4K Sony TV and of course, although connected via VGA cable, the viewing experience was not great, the image was very pixelated, and most of the games suffered of a sort of “Fog effect” that really made the gaming experience frustrating. Since for whatever foolish reason Nintendo still decided not to sell their blockbuster in HD with the switch, the only way to play with some great games was to resume the GameCube. I searched don the internet, and this tool came out. Although quite expansive, this adaptor claimed to fix all the issues that I found out using my 4K TV. Long story short? Almost no change at all! Still very poor image, most of the game are still vary bad looking and difficult to play...simply do not buy it! Not worth at all...

    Expensive, Awkward, But it Works!

Posted by Dustin on Aug 8th 2020

The HDMI port is on the side of the device, which makes it stick out at a strange angle. The product is high in price, but I understand this is an obscure market-- and given that fact, the quality is top notch. The packaging is also quite impressive. The video quality is superb, I am using it to play Gameboy games and couldn't be happier with the picture. Solid product. If the price were lower and the HDMI port were on the rear, it would be perfect.

Great HD output for gameboy games

Posted by Wyatt Barrier on May 1st 2020

Used this for quite a while now with various Gameboy advance and Gameboy color games. All of them looked fantastic at 480p on every TV I tested. Absolutely love this device.
