This is the Base version of the EverDrive-GG X7. This comes with the PCB installed into a black Game Gear cartridge shell with a basic black label.

Basic Edition vs. Deluxe Edition

The Basic Edition comes with just the EverDrive-GG X7 cartridge in the selected style. Whereas the Deluxe Edition includes the cartridge, a case, printed manual, a EverDrive-GG sticker, Stone Age Gamer sticker, and is covered by a 2-year Warranty.

FLASH CART / ODE DISCLAIMER

Flash carts, ODEs (optical drive emulators), and similar devices Stone Age Gamer sells and supports are intended to be used only for the following purposes: development, playing games licensed by Stone Age Gamer for use with the product, and/or playing currently owned personally backed-up games and media where it is legal to do so. B) PERSONAL BACK-UPS – In many territories it is legal to make back-ups for personal use and/or archival purposes, however it may not be legal in all territories. Please learn the national and local laws regarding this subject before making back-ups for personal use. Please note, in most territories "Personal Back-up" means exactly that; back-ups you made yourself of games you currently own. This often does not include back-ups obtained via other methods (i.e. downloading), even if it is a game you physically own.

C) DAMAGE – Neither Stone Age Gamer or the manufacturer is responsible for any damage of property this product may cause. This is a new product intended to be used on electronic hardware that exceeds two decades in age and Stone Age Gamer can’t guarantee the condition of such hardware. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

D) MODIFICATION & USE – Any unauthorized modification and/or non-intended use of this or any other flash cart product sold by Stone Age Gamer shall void both manufacturer and retailer warranties of that product.

E) CLONE / MODIFIED CONSOLES – Flash carts / ODEs were developed and intended to be used on un-modified original hardware using original hardware accessories. Stone Age Gamer does not guarantee flash cart / ODE operation on clone consoles or modified consoles. Flash carts / ODEs may operate on some clone consoles or modified consoles. However, due to power consumption changes, random hardware changes and/or firmware updates of those consoles we cannot offer a guarantee of flash cart compatibility. Any returns due to incompatibility with clone consoles or modified consoles will result in no refund of any shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee if no defect is found during testing.

    Exactly what you would expect from a Krikzz flash cart. Same great menu, same great features. I haven`t tested too many games, or the save state feature, but would assume that those work just as all other Krikzz flash carts

    I love this little unit. It works amazing in my GameGear Unit. And I love the physical case you can get with them, as before with other consoles, all I got were black plain boxes. I will always buy from StoneAgeGamer just for that fact alone. You cannot go wrong with this device.

    If you mostly wanted 100 percent compatibility amd faster load times that the previous version was lacking... This is it! The final frontier and at its best, nothing more needs to be done!

    Great product that works like a charm. Setup is easy and the improvements over the older models are great. Plus it really saves me from having to constantly pull my old carts out to play.

    Excellent flashcart for Sega enthusiasts

    It’s an Everdrive, and has top tier features as one would expect. Save State in particular is invaluable for a handheld device, as not all games easily allowed to saving where ever and quick resuming your game. Compatibility so far has been perfect as well. The library for Game Gear is a lot smaller than the various Game Boys, but there was a handheld version of almost all of Sega’s great classic franchises worth checking out! Master System games work as well. Great all around and totally worth it for Sega fans. Try to get a recapped Game Gear soon though, Game Gears are a bit of a ticking time bomb and may not be affordable much longer.

    Will work linked to another game gear for 2 player. You will need 2 carts like normal. Game genie also works with the GG X7. It’s nice the game gear game genie has an off and on green button. The save state works pretty well. Not all games allow save state but a really good amount do. I’ve tested the GG X7 on modded-JAP and US game gears with no issues. Tested on 2 non modded US game gears with no issue. This is a great product!

    If you have a modded gamegear and you need the final touch to play your gamegear games get this cart! Not only can you play gamegear but you can play SMS AND Sega-1000 roms! Super cool! Major pro baseball is the o LT rom I have issues with but the rest are flawless!

    I just finished modding my one of my GGs with the new SEGA Game Gear CleanScreen by RetroSix, with a new custom shell and everything. And what is the perfect accessory after all that work? Well, the all new EVERDRIVE-GG X7 of course! I have the old version, but the upgrade is totally worth it for me, and if you are looking for the best GG flash cart on the market, you came to the right place! Not only can you play GG roms (that you own - don't be a bad boy/girl ;), and if you are, shhhh), but also Sega Master System roms, and all the sg-1000 games I tried. The loading time is now so fast, compared to the version before that one, that it is a non-factor. "Instant loading" is right! Everything works as it should, and after my MANY tests and countless hours of playing, I have never encountered ANY issues at all, including all of the many advertised features, as well as the all-important Save States and In-Game menu functions.
    The menu is well done, and you can easily organize your games in individual folders (for instance, I have a folder for all of those extremely rare and crazy expensive SHMUPS, and it is so great!). Some have criticized the In-Game menu, but I couldn't honestly find a way make any complaint about it... It is possible that your experience will be different, but in my case, bringing up that very useful In-Game menu never froze my game in the many tests I made. I never saw anyone having any issue with that, but I think it is worth mentioning that I never had any issue either regarding SD cards compatibility. It worked perfectly with all of the SD card of different brands I threw at it.
    What else is there to say? It does everything a great flash cart for the GG would have to do in terms of functionality and features, and it does them all perfectly. They listened to the mild criticisms about the older version, and made it into a total winner! And it is on top of the many great extra features. I cannot see anyone else topping this very special flash cart, nor do i think they could make a better PCB version then this particular one (Model 17 Rev. B). So what are you waiting for? You can look anywhere for reviews, and you will find that there is nothing coming even close to it in the market. It is as good as it gets for any kind of users : advanced users will appreciate all the many extra features (for instance, it is an irreplaceable tool for the homebrew I am developing), while the others, that just want to play roms and make save states of their games, will find it is very user-friendly (and don't forget that it comes with an easily apprehensible
    and clear printed manual, should you have any issues or questions).
    Finally, I think it is just fair to give a shoutout to the team behind that awesome product. Not only do they stand proudly behind their product, with their 2-year warranty but they are available to answer any and all questions you might have.
    Don't wait until this product becomes unavailable and have to pay double the price, or more, from scalpers on eBay. Buy it now for their reasonable price, and you won't look back, I can guarantee you that!
