I just received this. Loaded up my roms on it. All 2100 and it works flawlessly on analogue pocket. I feel very lucky and fortunate for ordering this in time before the war started. I feel like I’m probably one of the very last few people to get an everdrive and probably for the foreseeable future. I also had a GBA x5 ordered with this but sadly it never left the country in time. Upon contacting Stone Age gamer about this. They were quick to respond and had absolutely no problem with canceling the gba x5 for me. And the next day shipped my X7. This was my very first purchase from this website and after what I seen. I will totally order from them again. Excellent products and excellent customer service. Oh and a bonus…..their sticker they place on the shipping box is downright hilarious. Totally wants me to order something else now haha.

Works fantastic with both my Gameboy classic and Analogue Pocket. On top of a perfectly working product, I got A+ customer service when my first unit was incorrect. Thank you for providing both great products and great support!

Great device from a great company!

I ordered the Everdrive GB x7 as an upgrade to my EZ-FLASH Junior. When it arrived it was glitch and wasn't reading the SD Card. I contacted support and they were able to quickly send me a working replacement, the customer service was top notch!

The Everdrive itself is an excellent device. It doesn't have many extra features over the EZ-FLASH, cheats and save states being the big ones, but this thing is fast, zipping through menus and loading games quicker. The OS is simple but works for what you need it to.

The hardware has a premium feel to it. The cartridges that SAG provides are thick and durable and the Ultra Violet coloring is gorgeous. The PCB has nice hard gold contacts and the Micro SD card solt is at the top so you can take out the SD card without removing the Everdrive from the gameboy. The Everdrive has worked on everything I've thrown it at from a DMG to a Game Boy Color, a Game Boy Advance SP and even the Analogue Pocket.
The only downsides I would mention is first that the in-game menu button is inconvenient to press on anything other then the SP, this might have been better suited as a programmable button combination but I don't find myself using the menu much so it's a small point.
Second would be mapper support. While the supported mappers will allow you to play the overwhelming vast majority of GB library, it would have been nice to see the more obscure mappers for full compatibility, especially for the price you pay over the competition.

It's the little things that make it stand out, the load times, the cartridge feel, how the device saves and handles RTC. Whether that is worth the high price or not is up to you but the Everdrive GB x7 is a fantastic little device and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone who wants the best Game Boy flashcart on the market.

I got this for my fiance for Christmas, and he just couldn't wait the two months to use it! It plays every game we've tested perfectly in his DMG-01, and the combination of both Everdrive and GameBoy has become his favorite handheld once again. Thanks StoneAgeGamer for helping me win 'best gift' this year!

    THE BEST Custom EverDrive X7

Posted by Derek Gerhard on Sep 19th 2021

I have received the Violet EverDrive with the Green label, and let me tell you this cart is unreal! The quality alone of the cart I chose was far superior to anything I’ve tried before.

I also ordered a normal version of the X7 from the actual website but I only have the violet design loaded with games I own. I have went back and forth whether I should return the other generic version but have decided to keep it because even though it supports 32gb microsd cards. It’ll only have about 85 pages of games loaded on at a time, which is unfortunate but that’s not a real negative in my mind because how many game of those will you really play fully?

The violet version of this cart has a premium feel above everything else on the market. It honestly feels like a genuine version of a Nintendo cart with a load of games I have put on it myself. Sometimes you receive items from stores and question the authenticity of them but this i can confidently say is the best cartridge for your Gameboy roms and from a great knowledgeable team that puts your needs first.

It was shipped extremely fast and the packaging was great! I am looking at another X5 from SAG to load even more of my roms on because sometimes 1 just isn’t enough!

Fiddly, but well worth the price.

The Everdrive GB X7 is perhaps the easiest of the X7 to recommend, as the save states alone make this well worth it. The RTC is also a great addition for all those Pokemon games you may have on hand.

The obvious uses of having multiple games on one cart aside, the real reason I got an Everdrive is for fan translations and hacks. There are some excellent fan translations of games that we never got, and being able to play them on original hardware is bliss.

That said, there is one tiny critique I have: The positioning of the in-game menu button. Due to what I can only assume are technical limitations, the button to access the in-game menu is located on the PCB and is activated by pressing the case in. This is not as clunky as one would assume, but having a switch closer to the top would make it more accessible when playing on something other than the GBA.

Ultimately, the quibble about the button placement is not enough to detract from the sheer versatility of this product. It is one of the easiest Everdrive recommendations I can make aside from the Everdrive GBA X5.

    Everdrive GB X7

Amazing product, shipped quickly and delivered before the estimated date of arrival. Product was securely wrapped, and ready to plug and play.

Backups work perfectly, instruction manuals were on point, and every feature works as advertised. Best Everdrive on the Market for the GB/GBC. Also works inside the Super Gameboy 2.
