Item Description:
PLEASE READ: The light gun that comes with this game system ONLY works on original tube based TVs. It will not work on LCD, Plasma, Projection, and some flat tube TVs. We will not accept returns if your light gun fails to work on any TV that is not an original tube TV.
The FC3 Plus Video Game System has separate circuitry and card slots for the NES, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Genesis allowing it to play games for all 3 consoles.
The FC3 Plus console uses a proprietary controller plug*. It comes with 2 controllers and 1 light gun.
The FC3 Plus connects through an RCA connector, and can be hooked into a surround sound system. When using stereo and surround output from these systems, NES sounds and music may seem very different from their typical mono output. Using output modes that properly generate mono sound, either through a single center speaker or cloned to multiple speakers, the sound output sounds mostly identical to the original NES.
Now you can enjoy the NES, the Super NES, and Genesis retro games without looking to replace your broken gaming systems.

- Supports 8-Bit NES, 16-Bit SNES games, and 16-bit Genesis Games

Needs quality reassessment

I bought one and straight out of the box it doesn't work. NES and Genesis slots don't function as they should, games slip out easily and won't even turn on. The snes controller mapping needs work, or it may have been just a bunk controller. If you want $50 worth of hassle and disappoint then this is the thing for you.

I just bought this system and I really like how it works. All the NES, SNES, and Genesis games I have work real well in the system. But there are a few improvements that could be done. I don't know why they did the controls of the games the way they did. If you are youst to the way the SNES and NES controls work than you need to get youst to it a little. It is reverse on this system than on the old nintendo controlers. The controllers are real cheeply made so if you are a hothead who throws controllers around you may not want these because they are not very well made. The NES cartriges can be kind of hard to get in and out of this system. The other ones aren't too bad. If you have a super gameboy it will not work well in this system. The controls are too goofed up to work. This system would have gotten five stars if the controlling was like the old NES and SNES.

Gets the job done with a few minor flaws

Let me get this out of the way, for the price (about 50-60 bucks), this system is very nice. A refurbished SNES, Genesis, or NES by itself can cost 45-50 bucks at a local game store, so the system's value is pretty obvious. It's very sleek and lightweight thanks to an external power supply (i.e. brick). As far as I can tell, it is compatible with most games, although I believe there are issues with games like Castlevania III and Virtua Racer for Genesis, but that's expected on any clone really. The controller is small and lightweight, and has a layout like a 6-button genesis controller with L and R triggers on top for the SNES games. Here's were things get querky. For genesis games, it works awesome, however the layout for the SNES and NES games are switched around. Normally, going clockwise from the far left, a SNES controller is Y,X,A,B. On the FC3, it ends up being A,X,Y,B (so basically A and Y are switched). It doesn't make the games unplayable by any means, it just takes some getting used to if you're used to the original SNES layout. NES's A and B buttons are flipped as well, with the top row of buttons being turbo. It's a bit inexplicable why they did this instead of staying true to all the original layouts, but you should get used to it after a while. The system comes with a light gun, but if you're playing it on anything but a tube TV, it wont work. The games also take a bit of force to go in, making me fearful of breaking either the games or the system. As much complaining as it sounded like I did, I really do like the system and those are just minor gripes to me, so it is definately worth the price.

Have had my system for a few months it works well.
But the controllers are a huge disappointment.
Fist off they are their own design so you cant replace them. The cord on the controllers are short and the cord it self is cheep and wires started to show until one of our controllers broke.
And seems you cant get replacement ones.
Also for the snes games the buttons are in different locations than the factory ones which makes play some games difficult.
The entire thing has a cheep made feel and the carts are hard to get out and are at a angle.
But plays the carts well.
